Nima Ghasemi is a composer and music producer. He began playing music at the age of 18, learning classical guitar. After 5 years of playing, he continued his activities in this style due to his interest in rock and blues music. Along the way, he collaborated with several underground rock groups. In 2017, he won the first prize for guitar at the first national jazz and blues festival. He concluded his musical career by working in a fusion group called Barang and officially began composing in 1992. Throughout his career as a musician, he managed to learn the saxophone and piano, incorporating them into his works. His main tendency in composition leans towards experimental and ambient music, inspired by natural and industrial elements in urban spaces. In the fall of 2012, he participated as one of the five selected Iranian artists in a two-week music and sonic art program at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, alongside artists from other countries. In addition to personal and experimental projects, he has been working in the field of interactive sound and music design for computer games for about five years now. In this field, he was also successful in winning the best music and sound achievement of the year at the 8th Iran Computer Games Festival for the game “History”. The album “Unconcia” is Nima’s latest personal project, in which he attempts to portray a fantasy and unknown atmosphere while simultaneously telling a very real story.
